If you have decided you want to mediate a dispute, or want to learn more about mediating, you should first better understand mediation and then find a qualified mediator.

1. Understand the Mediation Process

Mediation is explained in more detail on various sites, including that of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and Mediate.com.

2. Find a Mediator

You can search for lawyers who are mediators on sites like American Bar Association Lawyer Referrals or FindLaw Find a Lawyer. Mediate.com has a database of mediators that you can search by name, geography, nature of your issues, services offered, and/or by membership organizations.
